Despite my interests in Web 2.0 and Pathology 2.0 as I have referred to, I have not used many of the deliverables of several social media sites and networking tools beyond blogging.
Still not on Facebook or MySpace but started following several folks on Twitter, which has been called the "telegraph system of Web 2.0." Some might actually make the case that Web 2.0 is telegraph-type like technology.
Until I actually appreciated how Twitter can be used to maximize the signal to noise ratio, I thought its utility was limited, but there appear to be many deliverables I did not fully appreciate.
"If you aren't familiar with Twitter, it is one of those things, like MySpace, that sounds totally ridiculous and stupid when you first hear about it. But once you start using it, you realize how much fun it is." Eric Nuzum, Author of The Dead Travel Fast
So far, I agree and now you can follow me (the blog) on Twitter at http://twitter.com/tissuepathology.
In order to do this I modified some RSS feeds which should not be disruptive to other readers and applications but please let me know if your feed does get dropped.
